Clear with purpose, enter late, rewind with a reason

Plan overview

Start with a conditioned full clear toward the lane or Scuttler side that can provide priority. Take a level-3 route only when the target is exposed, Ekko's spells create a real kill or summoner window, and the sacrificed camps will not lose the next cycle. From the first objective onward, schedule camps, recall, and vision backward from the upcoming timer; setup windows are planning defaults, not fixed mechanics. His standard fight is delayed zone first, three-hit passive threat, then Phase Dive entry with Chronobreak reserved for the exit. When ahead, deny camps and convert picks into structures or objectives; when behind, secure safe income, trade contested objectives, and protect the teammate who still scales. At 20:00, treat Baron as a setup-and-siege appointment, not an automatic start.

Farm toward a lane that can actually help

0:00–8:00; first clear, level 3–4 contact, Scuttler at 2:55, and the first Voidgrub camp at 8:00

In the opening, choose a conditioned full clear when lanes lack setup or river priority; path toward the lane that can move for Scuttler at 2:55 or toward the win-condition side. Use a three-camp gank only when the target is exposed and Ekko's spells create a credible finish. After the first play, resume camps so level, mana, and spell access support the next window. If behind, mirror-clear away from the enemy and stop contesting unsupported river fights; transition toward the 8:00 Voidgrub spawn only when lanes can support the approach.

Path

Choose income or a real first gank

If your lanes lack reliable setup or you lose the level-3 river duel, use a conditioned full clear toward the side where your win-condition lane can give priority, then take Scuttler only when that lane can move. If a clearly overextended target has no escape spell and your level-3 rotation can reach it after three camps, trade some farm for that gank; otherwise continue clearing.

With Ekko

Ekko wants allies to make the first visible commitment. If you can draw attention or hold an enemy in place, leave him room to place Parallel Convergence behind the target; the delayed anomaly is more reliable when the enemy cannot freely walk away.
When Ekko is missing from the map, push the wave before moving with him. If your lane has priority and a neutral objective is approaching, your movement lets him contest river or invade without turning the play into an unsupported duel.
Do not expect Ekko to front-line a prolonged fight. If he enters after your engage or peel has forced enemy cooldowns, protect his exit and help him finish the same target so Z-Drive Resonance triggers before the enemy can regroup.
If Ekko is ahead, offer vision control and a nearby follow-up body around his chosen side of the map. If he is behind, help him reach safe camps and waves while using his threat to discourage the enemy from walking into the next setup.

Identity, strengths and limits

Turn time and fog into a clean reset

Ekko jungle is a mana-using assassin who converts fog, tempo, and delayed threat into a short burst on one target. Z-Drive Resonance rewards completing three attacks or damaging spells, while Parallel Convergence creates a delayed zone that can turn a prepared entry into enemy stuns and a shield for Ekko. Chronobreak makes a committed dive reversible only when he has tracked his return point. He is not a front-to-back tank, a permanent duelist, or a reason to force ganks without lane access.

Forcing level-3 ganks when the lane has no setup or the wave is moving away.
Starting an objective while the enemy jungler is alive, unseen, and adjacent lanes lack priority.
Entering first without a prepared Parallel Convergence zone, a reachable third-hit target, or a Chronobreak return.
Invading from a lead without confirmed enemy position, lane priority, and an exit route.
Chasing after Chronobreak rewinds or after the target escapes Ekko's passive window.

One idea for your next game

For the next game, judge every aggressive move by one question: can Ekko trigger Z-Drive Resonance on a reachable target and still have a Chronobreak exit or a safe reset? Before each gank, mark the target's escape route and Ekko's return path. If either is missing, clear toward the next timer instead. His advantage comes from choosing the entry window, not from proving he can survive every fight.

Champion lore

A prodigy from the rough streets of Zaun, Ekko is able to manipulate time to twist any situation to his advantage. He uses his own invention, the Z-Drive, to explore the branching possibilities of reality, crafting the perfect moment to seemingly achieve the impossible the first time, every time. Though Ekko revels in this freedom, when there's a threat to those he cares about, he and the Firelights will do anything to defend them.
