Protect the first economy window

0:00–14:00; use a safe crash as the default recall or roam trigger, but reset earlier when lane danger, low resources, or a reachable immediate payoff makes waiting costly.

Build a lane state that lets your duo farm and contest without exposing the carry. If you can safely reach the wave, use Glitterlance to slow a target while keeping Help, Pix! for the return trade; if the enemy has the stronger all-in, stand where your carry can retreat and concede marginal CS rather than the fight. When the wave can be safely crashed and leaving has a reachable payoff, crash before recalling or roaming; if the lane is unsafe, resources are low, or an immediate reset is more valuable, recall before the crash and accept the wave cost. Your first transition is a safe reset or a visible crash plus a reachable path to the next lane or river action.

Lane

Make lane about protection, not spell volume

If your ADC can contest the first waves and your lane has a clear trade target, use Glitterlance through a safe angle and preserve Help, Pix! for the enemy's return damage. If the enemy has the stronger level-2 threat, give up risky last hits until your duo has the same tools; roam or recall when the wave is not crashed only if the lane is unsafe, resources are low, or an immediate reachable payoff outweighs the lost wave and pressure.

With Lulu

• If Lulu is attached to your lane, let her protect the wave and trade rhythm rather than forcing every early engage. When she holds Whimsy and Help, Pix!, show the enemy that an all-in is available but wait for the enemy to commit; her value is highest when she answers their action.
• If Lulu assigns Pix to you and you are the team's sustained damage source, fight within reach of her protection and keep attacking the nearest safe target. Do not sprint past her spells for a low-value backline target; your job is to create damage time that she can extend.
• If your team has Lulu and a side-lane or objective plan, create a simple timer: when the nearby wave can be safely crashed, crash it, reset together, then enter the objective area with her carry protected. If an early reset or an opposite-side response has a clearer payoff, take the reachable trade rather than wandering for a pick.
• If Lulu is behind, make her plan easier to execute: stay near the protected carry during contested moves, avoid forcing a dark-area engage, and let her save Whimsy or Wild Growth for the enemy's first diver. A coordinated-looking setup is not required; being on the same screen is enough to make her defensive spells matter.
