Lane for threat, wave control, and shield timing
0:00–14:00, especially level spikes, crashed waves, and the 60–90 seconds before the first dragon or Grubs setup
In lane, shape a wave state that gives the enemy a reason to walk into Q range. If your duo has a push advantage, crash before moving or recalling; if the enemy is pushing toward you, protect the carry and hold Q for their engage path. Use W to pressure a target who is already low or trapped, not as aimless damage that spends mana. Black Shield belongs to the enemy's disabling threat, and Soul Siphon rewards damage on champions or large units when the trade remains safe. Transition when the first tower or plate pressure changes lane access: stop treating every Q as a kill attempt and start preparing the next river timer.
