Build a reliable first contact

0:55–5:00: first clear, level 3–4 gank window, Scuttle, and the first dragon setup at 5:00.

From the first camp spawn through the first Scuttle window, choose between a full clear and a three-camp gank from lane state, not habit. Full clear when your lanes lack setup or you lose early river contact; choose three camps when a lane is overextended, your level-3 kit creates a real threat, and the enemy jungler cannot answer. Generate Fury while clearing, finish near priority, and do not contest Scuttle at low health or without a rotating lane. After the first play, reset or re-clear instead of wandering.

Choose the clear that creates a real arrival

If your lanes lack priority and you do not win the level 3–4 river duel, choose a conditioned full clear toward the lane or objective side where an ally can arrive first. If a lane is overextended, has lost its escape spell, or is receiving a crashing wave, a three-camp path is justified; otherwise preserve camps, reach your jungle quest thresholds, and contest Scuttle only with health and lane access.

With Rek'Sai

• If Rek'Sai is on your team, push the nearby wave before she enters the river; her engage is much stronger when you can arrive during the Unburrow knock-up rather than after it. When she starts a gank from behind the enemy wave, follow the target's retreat line and add damage to the marked target instead of splitting onto another enemy.
• If you are the carry, treat Rek'Sai as a first-contact diver rather than a permanent frontline. When she tunnels into a target and your team is within one screen, commit enough damage to make her entry worthwhile; if she is alone or has already used her escape route, hold your spells until she creates a safer second angle.
• If an objective is spawning within 60–90 seconds, help Rek'Sai push the two nearest lanes and move with her through the swept approach. She wants to threaten the enemy jungler before the pit reaches its Smite threshold, so protect her from a flank and keep the exit open instead of starting the monster while she is still establishing access.
• If she is ahead, give her the priority side of the map and follow an invade only when you can escort the retreat. If she is behind, help her take uncontested camps and defend the winning lane; a controlled reset and another Fury-rich clear gives more value than asking her to rescue a losing lane through a blind dive.
• If your composition has a separate frontliner, let that champion absorb the first response while Rek'Sai enters from the side. If the enemy peel has already been used and a target is marked, Rek'Sai can use Void Rush to finish; otherwise keep the fight front-to-back and let her wait for the second entry.
