Start with a conditioned full clear when lanes do not offer a genuine early target, routing toward the side where an enemy is likely to overextend and where an ally can follow. Look for a gank only if the target is past the river, has lost an escape, or is collecting a crashed wave; use brush to make Unseen Predator matter. Check Scuttler at its 2:55 spawn only with nearby priority rather than treating the fight as mandatory. If ahead after a successful hunt, take the nearby camp or objective and preserve the next respawn cycle. If behind, stop repeating low-percentage dives: farm toward Ferocity and use visible enemy positions to choose a safe counterplay.

Choose a route that preserves the next leap

If your champion can clear the opening camps without losing meaningful health and your lanes lack a clear overextended target, use a conditioned full-clear route toward the lane with the best follow-up, then check Scuttler only with nearby priority. Rengar's brush leap creates gank angles, but abandoning respawning camps for a low-confidence attempt delays Ferocity, gold, and the next reliable hunt. If a lane presents a genuine level-three window before the route finishes, divert only when the target's position and allied follow-up make the entry concrete.

With Rengar

• If Rengar is on your team and you are a laner, make his route playable by pushing before the expected gank window and keeping the enemy away from a free retreat. A visible overextension, a crashed wave, or a missing escape gives him a concrete entry; random trading does not. When he pings an objective, help establish the approach rather than assuming he can start it alone.
• If Rengar is preparing an objective, move with him while there is time to establish vision and help control the entrances. His value rises when the enemy must pass through brush or darkness, so do not force him to reveal himself by starting a blind pit fight. If Thrill of the Hunt tracks the nearest enemy champion, follow only when you are close enough to add damage or control.
• If Rengar gets ahead through trophies, play around his flank threat instead of demanding that he front-line. Push the side wave that makes the enemy answer, then hold the enemy in the objective-side corridor while he hunts an isolated target. If he is behind, protect his access to camps and let him use empowered W or Bola to create a controlled second-wave entry rather than asking for a solo assassination.
