Build a safe health economy

0:00–14:00; especially level-2 races, first recalls, and the 60–90 seconds before an objective

From spawn through the first major objective setup, protect the bot carry's farm and contest only trades shaped by wave position, cooldowns, and your Starcall angle. If Starcall connects, use the recovered health to make a short trade or sustain Astral Infusion; if it misses, do not pay health for a low-quality exchange. Crash before a planned recall or roam when the lane state permits; reset or move without a crash when urgent health, defense, or a time-critical fight makes that trade favorable. Around an objective, prepare 60–90 seconds early only when bot and mid can move first; when behind, keep the lane stable and take safe experience rather than forcing a river walk.

Make Starcall pay for every heal

If your lane can contest the next wave and Starcall is ready, look for the enemy's last-hit window rather than opening with Astral Infusion; if Starcall hits, use the recovered health to support a short trade, and if it misses, preserve health and give ground until the next reliable cast.

With Soraka

• If Soraka is your lane partner, give her a clear Starcall angle by contesting the wave without standing on top of her. When she lands Starcall and recovers health, use that condition for a short trade; when it misses, avoid forcing an all-in that makes her pay health without a recovery source.
• If Soraka is on your team during an objective setup, push the nearby wave before asking her to enter river. Keep the fight within her reach, but do not use her as the first body through fog; her spells are more valuable after the enemy reveals an engage path.
• If Soraka has Wish available and your team is split, identify the ally most likely to be threatened before the fight starts. When the enemy commits, give her time to cast and then continue only if the restored health creates a numbers or cooldown window; do not mistake the heal for permission to chase.
• When Soraka places Equinox, respect the silence zone and its delayed root threat instead of walking through it for a low-value target. Pull the enemy toward the edge or wait for the zone to expire, then re-engage only if Soraka still has health and the team can follow.
