Lane for control, not constant combat

Your early goal is to secure CS and level access while preserving mana for a real threat. If you can push without losing health, crash before recalling or moving; if the opponent contests the wave with a key spell, step back from the trade and punish its cooldown instead of forcing. Collect Splinters through levels and damage without sacrificing lane position. Before your first objective window, decide whether your priority comes from a crash or whether you should concede river space and farm safely.

Build space for the sphere pattern

If the first waves can be cleared without exposing yourself to an all-in, push toward a crash before leaving lane. Syndra wants room to create Dark Spheres and threaten Scatter the Weak; a crashed wave gives you a recall or roam window while she catches. If you cannot contest the push, prioritize XP and safe last hits, then punish only after her wave spells are committed.

With Syndra

• If Syndra has lane priority, use her crash as the signal to move with her toward river or an invade; do not start a separate fight while she is still catching a wave. Her value rises when enemies must enter a narrow route, so escort her through the approach rather than asking her to face-check it.
• If Syndra lands Scatter the Weak through a Dark Sphere, commit damage only when you are close enough to reach the stunned target during the window. If she misses E or has used it on the wave, hold your engage or peel instead of assuming she can create the next catch.
• If an enemy is already low and Syndra has Unleashed Power, help her finish that target rather than switching targets mid-combo. If the enemy is healthy, give her time to chip or control the approach; forcing her to spend the ultimate before the target is vulnerable removes her cleanest conversion.
• If your team is behind, protect Syndra while she clears and let her control the entrance to an objective. A warded choke and a patient counter-engage give her more value than a blind pit start; if the enemy commits elsewhere, take the safe wave or structure instead of demanding a low-information fight.
