Scale through safe Stardust, then own the objective entrance

Plan overview

Play the first phase for safe CS, mana, and Stardust rather than forced kills. Crash before recalls or roams, and use Singularity plus Q only when the wave or enemy position gives you a retreat. During the first objective cycle, push mid 60–90 seconds before the timer, reset, and arrive with your control tools. In mid game, let the next objective or a siege decide where you stand; use Astral Flight to join a visible, followable play, not to gamble through fog. When ahead, deny entrances, take structures, and force the enemy to walk into your area control. When behind, farm safe waves, concede fights without numbers or vision, and wait for a pick or an overextension. Late game, protect your health and ultimate, control chokes, and convert every won fight into a structure, Baron, or secure wave state.

Plan by phase

Survive lane while making Stardust safe

0:00–about 14:00, or until the first tower and plate-pressure transition; act on crashed waves and visible cooldown windows.

Farm toward your first meaningful levels and protect the Stardust economy. Use Singularity to secure minions and collect Stardust from champions caught inside it when the enemy cannot punish your position; use Q for short, deliberate channels rather than standing exposed for damage. If you have lane priority, crash before moving toward river. If behind, accept lost CS when necessary, preserve mana, and keep the wave close enough that the enemy cannot freely threaten a dive. Your first transition is a successful crash into a recall or a visible river play, not a roam through an uncrashed wave.

Turn safe wave control into Stardust

If the first waves can be cleared without exposing yourself to an all-in and the enemy mid cannot punish your channel, then use Singularity to secure the wave while looking for champion contact that also grants Stardust. If the enemy has priority or the jungler is missing, keep the black hole for the wave and do not extend the channel past your safe retreat.

With Aurelion Sol

If Aurelion Sol is holding mid priority, let him finish the crash before starting a river fight; the wave is what buys his movement window. If he places Singularity at an entrance, fight on the edge of that zone and punish enemies who are pulled inward rather than scattering away from his control.
If he begins Breath of Light from a safe angle, provide peel or crowd control that keeps the target in the channel. If he flies into a skirmish, follow only when you are close enough to damage the same area; his flight is an access tool, not permission for him to fight alone.
If Aurelion Sol is behind, help him secure the safer side wave and contest only the objective entrances you can reach together. If he is ahead, group around his Singularity and ultimate threat, then use the space he creates to take towers or the objective instead of chasing past his zone.

Aurelion Sol is a scaling battlemage who converts safe damage and enemy deaths inside Singularity into permanent Stardust. That economy enlarges his tools and improves their reach or thresholds: Q rewards sustained contact and deals increased damage while he is flying, W gains maximum flight range, E gains area and execution reach, and his ultimate gains impact area. He wins by controlling waves and objective entrances, then turning clustered enemies into a long fight where his scaling area control matters. He is not an early assassin, a blind-roaming mid, or a champion who can spend every cooldown for Stardust; his channeling and flight require a safe position and a follow-up window.

Strengths

Permanent Stardust turns safe combat and Singularity control into broader late-game tools.
Singularity combines zone control, pull, Stardust generation, and an execution threat.
Astral Flight can connect a crashed-wave mid lane to a visible fight through terrain, while Q deals increased damage during the flight.
Falling Star and The Skies Descend punish grouped enemies at objective entrances.

Limits and risks

Forcing Q channels while the enemy can reach you or the jungler is missing.
Using Astral Flight on a speculative roam and losing a crashed-wave timing.
Spending Singularity and the ultimate before the enemy commits to a choke.
Entering river first when your team has no vision, priority, or follow-up.
Collecting Stardust at the cost of mana, health, or a death before the next timer.

One idea for your next game

For the next game, make every Stardust decision serve a safe lane action: use Singularity on a wave only when you can remain in range without losing your retreat, and channel Breath of Light on a champion only when the enemy cannot immediately punish the commitment. At each objective, arrive after a crash and reset, then ask whether your black hole and ultimate can control the entrance. Your goal is not to collect Stardust at any cost; it is to collect it while preserving the mana, health, and cooldowns that let the next fight convert it into area control.
