In the opening waves, preserve mana for wave control and punish last-hit attempts rather than spending every spell on low-value poke. The bot level-2 race is decided by the second wave's melee minions, so push only when your duo can contest that timing. If ahead, crash before recalling and use the resulting tempo for a component purchase or river move; if behind, secure XP and avoid extended trades inside the enemy wave. Transition when the first tower or plate pressure changes the lane: stop treating every wave as a fight and start planning around the next dragon.

Lane

Make the first two waves a control decision

If you and your support can reach the second-wave melee minions first, push for level 2 and threaten a trade as Corki approaches the wave. If Corki's duo reaches level 2 first, give up the exposed last hits until your pair matches the level; do not convert the race into a death.

With Corki

• If Corki has Missile Barrage reserves before an objective, help him approach through controlled vision and let the enemy lose health while entering. Do not start the fight in a way that forces him to spend every missile on emergency waveclear.
• If Corki is your primary damage source, place frontline or peel between him and the first enemy engage. Corki can reposition with Valkyrie, but if he spends it to escape, his offensive pressure is reduced during the same window.
• If Corki has pushed a side wave and the next objective is more than 30 seconds away, let him take the safe income and begin setup only when he can rotate in time. If the objective is imminent, prioritize the wave crash and a coordinated reset over an extra camp or plate.
• If Corki lands Gatling Gun on a target your team can hold in place, layer crowd control without pulling him into danger. His damage increases when he can maintain the cone, while a forced dive can remove his escape.
• If Corki's team wins a fight and an enemy death timer opens a structure or objective, escort his damage rather than chasing a remaining survivor. His value is highest when the team converts his sustained output into the map.
• If playing a support beside Corki, shape the wave deliberately: help him secure the level-2 timing, protect his recall crash, and use the post-crash window for vision or a visible fight rather than an uncertain roam.
