Lane through short, protected windows

Opening lane through the first crash, recall, roam, and objective setup; follow wave state and champion levels rather than a fixed clock, with the first seasonal Voidgrub setup at 8:00 as a possible transition point

GOALS: keep the ADC in experience range, contest trades built around a minion or cooldown advantage, and use Eye Of The Storm when its shield and attack damage change the exchange. Hold Howling Gale when the enemy can engage; use Zephyr for a short punish only if your retreat is covered. TRANSITION: crash before recalling or roaming. AHEAD, protect a larger wave and convert an enemy recall into a plate only when the ADC and turret are safe, or take a controlled reset. BEHIND, stop forcing lane trades, shield the safest farm window, and preserve Q for the gank or all-in you can see.

Lane

Trade from movement, not commitment

CONDITIONS: If your lane can reach the enemy while they last-hit, your retreat path is open, and your wave is not badly outnumbered, use Janna's movement and Zephyr slow to threaten a short trade. WINDOWS: act after the enemy engage tool or shield is used, or when your wave is larger; if the wave is pushing without vision or the enemy can turn on you, hold Howling Gale as protection instead of walking forward.

With Janna

• If Janna is on your team and you are the primary damage dealer, stay within follow-up range before the enemy engages rather than taking an isolated angle. When she places Eye Of The Storm on you, use its protection and attack-damage window to hit the nearest safe target. If she is holding Howling Gale, walk toward the enemy only when you can punish their entry; do not force her to rescue a fight you started alone.
• If you are a diver or frontline champion playing with Janna, give her a readable entry to answer. When you draw the enemy forward and Janna is close, her Q and Monsoon can separate the counter-engage while the carry continues dealing damage. If you enter outside her range or before the team is ready, her kit cannot turn that split timing into a protected fight; wait for the wave, vision, or objective setup that brings the team together.
• If your team is setting up dragon, Baron, or another contested objective, let Janna stand on the approach the enemy must cross while the carry remains behind her. When the entrance is cleared and the enemy is forced through a choke, hold your engage until Janna's control or shield creates the first safe damage window. If the team lacks numbers or the carry is resetting, take the cross-map wave or structure instead of asking her to defend a blind contest.
• If Janna is behind, help her plan around protection rather than solo picks. When she shields a carry farming under safe conditions, keep the enemy away from that player and use the resulting wave income to reach the next power window. If she has a lead, give her room to move with the jungler after a crash, but do not abandon the ADC to an unplanned 2v1 while she creates map pressure.
