Crash the wave, threaten the angle, keep the return

Plan overview

LeBlanc's whole-game plan is crash, move, burst, and return. In lane, use Q's mark and its 3.5-second window to make short trades meaningful, but keep Distortion as the price of playing forward. Crash before recalls and roams so your wave and XP do not fund the enemy's response. In mid game, turn priority into visible picks, towers, or objective setup rather than wandering for a combo. When ahead, use fog and side-wave pressure to make isolated targets unsafe; when behind, clear safely, preserve mana, and wait for a numbers advantage or an enemy cooldown mistake. In late fights, Mimic the basic spell that serves the actual target and geometry, enter after the first engage, and leave before the counter-burst. A failed burst with no exit is not pressure; it is donated tempo.

From 0:00 to roughly 14:00, secure the first waves and choose between a controlled shove and a safer last-hit pattern based on the matchup. If Q can be marked and another spell can detonate it without exposing W, punish last hits in short trades. Crash before recalling or roaming; if the enemy has wave control or your mana is low, preserve W for escape and take XP rather than forcing a kill. Once Mimic is available, look for a crash into a side-lane threat, not a blind river walk.

If the first three waves can be pushed without losing a health or mana threshold, use Q and W to crash before recalling or moving; if the enemy can punish your dash or you cannot finish the crash, keep W available and take the safer last hits instead. Your lane permission comes from wave state, not from a hopeful combo.

With LeBlanc

Give LeBlanc a wave to work from. If mid can crash before a river fight, hold your engage until she has moved through the wave window; follow the target she has damaged instead of starting a separate chase. Her value rises when the enemy must choose between catching minions and respecting her angle.
Play around her return point rather than demanding an instant all-in. If she lands Distortion or E and an ally can supply follow-up within one screen, layer damage during the brief commitment; if the target is already retreating, protect her exit and take the resulting space instead of diving beyond her reach.
During objective setups, let LeBlanc use fog to threaten the approach while the rest of the team sweeps and wards. If she finds a pick before spawn, convert it into the objective or a structure; if no target appears, do not make her face-check first. Her job is to make the enemy hesitate while your team owns the river.
When LeBlanc is behind, give her safe access to mid waves and play for controlled picks rather than asking her to front-line. If your composition has a durable first engager, let that champion start; LeBlanc should follow the committed target with Mimic and leave before the counter-burst.

LeBlanc is a mana-based burst mage with an assassin's access pattern: mark a target with Sigil of Malice, trigger it through another ability, and use Distortion to reach a threatening angle before returning to safety. Ethereal Chains adds a higher-reward line when the target remains shackled for 1.5 seconds, while Mimic lets her repeat the basic spell that best fits the moment. Mirror Image creates a brief deception window below 40% health, but it does not deal damage. She is not a front-line engager, sustained DPS mage, or permission to fight every time W is available; her wins come from wave priority, isolated targets, and disciplined burst with an exit.

For the next game, make every aggressive move pass one test: can I crash the wave or secure a clear target while keeping Distortion available to return? LeBlanc wins through short, prepared bursts, not repeated W entries. Before each trade, check the wave, enemy crowd control, Mimic availability, and your exit point. If one of those is missing, farm the wave or move only after the crash. Your measurable focus is to finish more roams and trades with your return available than with an unexplained death.
