0–14 min: until the first tower falls and lane assignments dissolve

Preserve health, experience, and farm, but take controlled pressure or kill windows when the wave, your support, and enemy resources allow them. Hold the wave near your tower; push for a planned recall, safe plates, an objective setup, or a deliberate crash. Before Fishbones hits the wave, account for its splash and mana cost; use Pow-Pow when collateral damage would disrupt the desired state. Against a predictable engage, place Flame Chompers! before contact so its landing and arming delay is paid before the diver arrives; if the angle changes, kite toward the alternate safe side. Behind, judge the lane by preserved resources and avoided costs: a 0/0/0 exit with reasonable farm can be good, but is not automatically a won lane.

Lane

Fishbones or Pow-Pow: the trading grammar

If the enemy sits at a range where they can't answer you — locked into last-hitting, or two of them standing together — punish with Fishbones: extra reach and splash damage. Before firing into a wave, account for every minion the splash will hit and the mana it consumes: use Pow-Pow when collateral damage would disrupt a freeze or controlled wave, and Fishbones when a deliberate crash, safer farm, or champion poke justifies the altered wave. If a real trade starts — both sides committed and swinging — go Pow-Pow: its attack speed ramps the longer the exchange runs. Swap proactively at the decision boundary: they close the gap → minigun; they back off → rockets.

With Jinx

• Drafting Jinx drafts a clock. Her win condition switches on at 2–3 items, so until then, if a fight isn't forced, don't start it: play scaling defense — safe waves, vision, neutral objectives conceded when contesting them means a losing fight — and treat every survived minute as interest earned.
• Peel is a job with an owner, not a vibe. Every fight, someone specific keeps her alive: enchanter buffs, a warden's body, the tank turning back onto her diver. The enemy is structurally required to dive her, so the job rarely lacks customers — fight front-to-back so her damage has a front to work through.
• Fight where fights chain: objectives, towers, and jungle chokes, places where a reset converts instantly into the next take. An isolated kill in an empty river wastes the engine. And when it's reasonable, let her land the killing blow on structures and epic monsters — they literally arm her passive and buy the team free rotation speed.
• After the first reset, commit. The worst teammate behavior is disengaging a fight Jinx just reset, because the chain is the entire point of the champion. Follow her tempo while the speed burst lasts; the orderly retreat comes when it fades, not before.
